About The UK Play Exchange

I started this site because almost every "best UK casino" page I read sounded the same, and almost none of them were written by anyone who had ever actually tried to get a withdrawal out under pressure. Comparing licensed UK operators is not difficult work, but it is detailed work, and most affiliate sites skip the boring parts: licence numbers, parent ownership, how withdrawals actually behave on a Sunday, what support says when you ask the same question twice.

What this site is

The UK Play Exchange is an independent, affiliate-funded comparison site for UK Gambling Commission-licensed online casinos. We do not hold a UKGC operating licence ourselves. We do not take stakes, hold balances, run player accounts, run a sportsbook, or pay out winnings. Everything that involves money is handled directly between you and the operator, under the operator's own UKGC licence.

What this site is not

  • We are not the UK Gambling Commission. If you need to make a regulatory complaint, that goes to gamblingcommission.gov.uk.
  • We are not owned by, partnered with, or controlled by any of the operators we list.
  • We do not offer financial, legal or addiction-recovery advice. For confidential support, contact GamCare or call 0808 8020 133.

How we are funded

We earn a commission from some operators when a reader clicks through and later opens an account. That commission is paid by the operator, not by you, and it does not change the terms you see on the operator's site — those are set by the operator and enforced by the UKGC. We publish a full affiliate disclosure and a plain-English methodology on the homepage. Sites can pay us for a click; they cannot pay us for a place on the list, and they cannot pay us to leave out a poor withdrawal record.

Editorial approach

The voice on the site is mine. The bias is consumer-protection first: I will tell you when a bonus is structured badly, when a "free spin" offer has wagering that essentially neutralises it, and when an operator is on its third UKGC settlement in five years. If that costs us commission, fine. There is no shortage of UK affiliate sites willing to take the opposite trade.
